Energy during 19-20 July 2007 to formulate a draft policy road map
for development of solar energy in India. ABPS Infra was the Knowledge

prepared by ABPS Infra during the event have paved the way for an
imaginative, bold and forward looking policy initiative to address

World Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition was held in New Delhi
during 6-8 November 2006. Hon President of India His Excellency
Dr A P J Kalam inaugurated the Conference. President's address to
the nation can be downloaded from his official website www.presidentofindia.nic.in
Dr Pramod Deo, Chairman – Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission, and Balawant Joshi, Managing Partner – ABPS Infrastructure Advisory, presented a paper on how Renewable Purchase Specification (RPS) evolved from Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) specified by the MERC earlier. Click

The event sparked debate about the course which India needs to take to secure its energy future. World Institute of Sustainable Energy published a book on ‘Wind
Power Development in India' in which Balawant Joshi of ABPS Infra
contributed a chapter, where he has discussed various regulatory
issues faced by renewable energy sector in general and wind sector
in particular. In his chapter, he has argued in favour of preferential
tariffs for renewable energy technologies in the country. Link
